Born in Ohio and raised in Kona, the Rev. Jiko Nakade is the 12th resident minister and first woman minister of the Daifukuji Soto Mission. Rev. Jiko is a graduate of the Department of Religion and Department of Japanese Language at the University of Hawaii at Manoa and has also studied at Komazawa University in Tokyo. She is the student of the Reverend Ryuji Tamiya of Niigata, Japan and is a graduate of the Hawaii Soto Shu Ministers Training Program.
